Rebuilding schools in Catanduanes Island - Philippines Typhoon Relief
来自 All Hands and Hearts Smart ResponseSince 2007, we’ve partnered in the Philippines, one of the world’s most typhoon-prone countries, helping rebuild schools damaged by severe storms and extreme weather.
This August, we proudly launched our 25th school recovery program on Catanduanes Island in the Philippines, working alongside the community of Obi to rebuild five typhoon- and earthquake-resilient classrooms at Obi Integrated School.
Together with local masons and volunteers, we’re also upgrading essential WASH facilities with renovated bathrooms and a new water filtration system, ensuring students have access to safe drinking water. Beyond construction, we’re creating a safe playground and delivering community trainings on Disaster Risk Reduction and Child Protection with our longstanding local partners such as Streetlight. These efforts are providing hundreds of children impacted by Typhoon Pepito with a safe, healthy space to learn and thrive for many years to come.
