The Baytree Centre is an educational charity (charity registration number 1175145) for women and girls, based in the heart of Brixton, south London.
We work to address Adverse Childhood Experiences and Adverse Community Environments such as poor housing conditions, homelessness, lack of language and basic skills, and other barriers that can prevent our 1000+ women and girls and their families from thriving.
We are seeking donations to contribute to delivering our youth service programmes, supporting over 500 girls to thrive.
Baytree’s Youth Service provides a safe and supportive space for girls and young women aged 6-20 to develop personally and academically. In 2024-2025 we supported 539 girls develop, skills, knowledge and networks.

Through our youth programmes and activities, we raise aspirations, build confidence, develop skills and foster good character. Our focus areas include positive activities, education, life skills, and employability, ensuring a comprehensive approach to girls’ and young women’s development.
Our programmes are youth-led and co-produced with the girls to ensure that all activities are always relevant to their needs and goals. We use Character Development as an educational approach that involves helping girls discover their own strengths and weaknesses and develop good habits and critical thought.
