Equality Fund is Canada’s first and only international women’s fund. We support grassroots women’s rights organizations to dismantle barriers, challenge perceptions and, ultimately, transform society. The Equality Fund strongly believes that supporting grassroots women’s rights organizations in the global South is essential to achieve lasting equality for women. As such, we are committed to mobilizing resources to amplify the work of these groups.
The Equality Fund provides grants to women’s rights and feminist organizations working from the grassroots level to the regional and global stage. Women’s rights organizations and feminist movements are leading the change in their communities and the Equality Fund’s strategy is to support the priorities that they identify. We do this by providing core support grants, which can be used for operating expenses as well as specific program activities or projects.
